Hello,
I'm having difficulty identifying this stamp. Here's what I have so far based on Scott's.
Germany Design Type: A116 24 x 30 mm un-watermarked perf 14. Stamp size and overprint do not match anything I can find in Scott's.
Thank you in advance,
Ross

Ross,

It's in Austria. In the footnote after Austria Scott number 404 it says that Germany 524-527 the 1M, 2M, 3M and 5M overprinted were prepared but not issued.

Jacques.

Jacques,
Thank you. I did read that but was wondering about the stamp size Scott indicates that Germany design type A116 is 21.5 mm x 26 mm the stamp in question is 24 mm x 30 any idea's on that- Counterfeit perhaps.

Ross, the Mark values of the German Hitler definitives are larger than the rest.

There are actually three different sizes for the stamps in the set of 24 stamps. The lowest values from 1 pfg to 24 pfg are 18.5 x 22.5 mm; the stamps of 25pfg to 80 pfg are 21.5 x 26 mm, and the mark values are larger, but Scott has them listed under the smaller size and doesn't provide the size for them (another listing error by Scott).
