Ok guys - I've completed my travels through Italy with the exception of the following two. So dig out your Scott and give me a hand.

Hi Kelly,

The stamp on the right is a parcel post stamp from San Marino.

They come in pairs and this is the righthand one. At the left side running upwards is the country name RSMARINO.

The 300 lira stamps come with various watermarks and colours. I would guess this one is half of SG P773 / Scott Q45 from 1965.

Best wishes,
Nigel

Kelly,

You are getting a fine education here! I just love it when collectors who have been focused on one or just a few areas suddenly are tossed into the worldwide arena. The discovery of the breadth and depth of the philatelic world is a joy to behold! You remain my expert of choice for questions re Russia and Germany, but now you know so much more! Thumbs Up

The Italy 40 Lire stamp is Scott #561.

"Occupations" for this set of stamps refers to work, not military occupation.

On the San Marino parcel post stamp half, you will have to check the watermark.

It could be Q40 watermark stars, Q45 watermark triskelions, or possibly Q36 watermark winged wheels (but the colors don't look right for that).

The three watermark types are pictured at the beginning of the San Marino listing.
