yes, this is a big problem for Canada Post, as I live in the area where the Counterfeits exist, I have put the hand on 2 different forgery stamps in the last year... (the Queen with the yellow hat and one of the "P" series) if some one is interested... I can scan them with the real stamps to show the differences.... the quality is poor under a magnifier and no marking on them...
Jacques
Jacques,
I would love to see the counterfeits posted here.

NOT STAMPS but Currency.
Our local sheriff just busted a small gang that has figured out how to wash one dollar bills clean and then print Twenties on watermarked government paper that pass the black marker test and, of course, has the thin strands of blue and red silk fibers in the paper.
They are almost impossible to detect even by the average well trained teller.

More NOT STAMPS -
About two decades ago I read a poorly-written pocket novel about an "insider" heist of USA currency paper that, of course, was then used to print counterfeit large-denomination bills. National economical meltdown was only narrowly averted because some white-hat federal law-enforcement dude rode in to rescue America from a fate worse than death.

CBC has an interesting article on modern Canadian Counterfeits. Link is here: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/story/2013/03/13/quebec-canada-post-counterfeit-stamps.html
There is an interesting spot the counterfeit little quiz at the bottom of the article.
