According to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, October 5 1998 (and some other local American papers), the first official Betty Boop stamps were issued by the Republic of Guinea in 1998.

I've been finding some single issues for Betty Boop. There is a nice issue from Mongolia (2007)with six issues on a souvenir sheet. Anyone know when and where the first issue was from for Betty?
