Thanks Roy - that was exactly what I was looking for (well, actually the link to the Free German Youth Organisation). Thanks a ton!!!

I've been searching the internet trying to obtain information on the German Youth Meeting portrayed on the DDR Issue (Scott 210, 211; Michel 428, 429, SG E182, E183).
Scott states "the 2nd German youth meeting for peace, unity and freedom". Stanley Gibbons calls it the "Second German Youth Assembly" and Michel simply says "German Youth Meeting, Berlin".
Can anyone tell me (or direct me to any resources with) more information about this German Youth Meeting? Obviously from Michel, I have gathered it occurred in Berlin (although not necessarily). The only information I have found regarding a German Youth Meeting occurring in June 1954 took place in Norderney, an island off the North Sea coast of Germany. From what I gather the majority of the boys (no girls were present) who went to this camp meeting were from East Germany with a few exceptions perhaps of some from West Germany.
If this is the Youth Meeting depicted through this stamp issue, does anyone have more information about it? If it's not, anything anyone can share would be gratefully appreciated.
