Howdy! Hope someone can help with a technical question.

I won a group of auctions from a single seller on 9/10 that appear on the "Won Lots" page with the indicator of "Inv. Emailed 00/00/00". However, this invoice does not appear on the Invoice page. I did not receive any invoicing notice in my email - just the automated "you won" emails for each auction.

Has something glitched in the auction system, or do I really have an invoice?

Hokey dokey, that's a big "never mind." The invoice arrived this morning. I must have jumped the gun. Would that I treated all my creditors with such eagerness!

re: Communications between buyer AND seller is essential

When an invoice shows 00/00/00 as a date it means that the seller has not physically sent the invoice yet. Invoices are not sent automatically by the system. The seller has to complete the invoice and send it to you. The won auction lots, will however, appear in your 'won lots' page.

When an auction lot closes and you are the successful bidder you automatically receive a 'you won' email from the Stamporama website.

Another scenario may be that if you are bidding on other auction lots listed by the same seller, he/she may decide to wait until all the lots you are bidding on have closed before sending you an invoice, rather than sending you an individual invoice for each lot you have won as they close.

If you do not receive an invoice within a reasonable length of time contact the seller by email or private message on the Stamporama website.

and i reiterate. All members, buyers and sellers alike, need to take a proactive part in initiating auction conclusions. The rule should be, don't wait. If you listed or bid, check on the status and, if it sold or you won, and you haven't heard from the other party, start the ball rolling quickly.

Thanks, all. As with most things, a little communication goes a long way! It certainly doesn't hurt that this is such a friendly bunch.
