Yes I totally agree - saving everything on a different hard disk partition is easy. With the advent of cheaper USB devices saving data has become a second nature to me - avoids a lot of heartache in case of system failure.
How do you make your own pages?I would like to make my own for my topical's.I have a stamp album pages on a disk I bought but I can't copy and past the ones I want.Is there another program for this?

Perry's article referenced above is an excellent one. Just as an alternate technology that I use, have a look at Album Easy.

Scribus is a pretty decent application which I've dabbled with before mostly to show it could be done and it can indeed be used to great effect. Still, I'm a MS-Publisher guy albeit a 10 year old version of the program.
I save all the designed pages that I designed for my stamp books in my computer just in case I come up with a new item relating to the stamp involved. Here is an example of an upgraded page for comparison, otherwise I would have had to start from scratch.....save, save, save.
