I IDed the country of at leat 500 stamps today and ended up with the following 4 as stumpers to me...

Image Not Found

I am thinking B might be Great Britainbut my sysmbol guide didn't have that little crown in it. I know C is a Cinderella, but i was wondering if anyone knew what country? I wanted to clasify D as Scottland, but there is no Scottland in my Scotts.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

re: Identifying various stamps and labels (GB, Belgium, NL Antilles)

A: Netherlands Antilles
B: Great Britain -- my 2011 Scott ends at Feb 2010 -- this was a 1st class stamp probably issued May 2010
C: ??
D: Great Britain Scott #945

Whoops! Reversed B and C. Correct now.

B & D are Great Britain.

B - Scott #2787 - King George V & QEII - London 2010 Festival of Stamps - Issued May 6, 2010 - Scott lists at 60c for a used stamp. Yours looks as though it has a missing U/R corner.

D - Scott #945 - Glenfinnan, Highlands, Scotland - Issued June 24, 1981 - Scott lists at 25 cents if the stamp were used in VF condition.
Yours has a big crease in the right hand corner.

I think C is a label off a Belgium stamp if I remember correctly.

A - Antillen is Netherlands Antilles, also referred to informally as the Dutch Antilles

Hey Liz and Roy,
Thanks. All of a sudden, i see the little golden head in the upper left corner of D. Had my eyes not played tricks on me, I would have known the country. Thanks for the Scott #'s too. I was hoping Liz might know what C was since it came out of a packet of stamps she had sent the boys. Once again, thanks.

re: Identifying various stamps and labels (GB, Belgium, NL Antilles)

C is definitely Belgium

"Belgium, in the last year or two, has issued a number of what it calls 'Duostamps', which are vertical strips of five self-adhesives. They consist of pictorial labels bearing no value or country name, but each one is attached to a separate 'priority' NVI (no value indicated) stamp naming the country. A number of these issues have shown cartoons; you can see here a strip showing Garfield, 'the cat everyone loves to hate', and part of a strip of Warner Brothers characters. These are, of course, Sylvester the cat and his nemesis, the canary Tweety Pie. These strips are both from 2004.'"
