Hi Tim
I am a director of the IPDA (Australian Region), that's the Internet Philatelic Dealers Association, we are having chats on our website with different auction sites over the next few weeks with different auction sites represented each weekend for anyone to ask questions, this weekend it's the Delcampe auction site with Sabastein Delcampe in attendance, next weekend Wensy with Darren Bock (Wensy Admin) in attendance, I was wondering if you would like to come along to the chat room on Sunday the 29th to represent the Stamporama auction site to answer any questions people may have, this is all about giving people information and alternatives to Ebay, I can be reached through this tread or if you like via my email at lasaboy@exemail.com.au
Blessings
Larry
Hi Larry,
I think that would be fine. I'm sure that it will be an interesting discussion. Could you send me an email to auldstampguy at gmail dot com with the details of the time and how to get onto the chat room?
Regards ... Tim.
will their be transcripts of the interviews that people can read? if so, how can we get to them?
Most certainly I will list all questions and the answers given from each chat here on a thread, I am currently working on the transcript of Seb Delcampe's answers now, he was on for an hour and a half so it's not a five minute job.
Hi Everyone,
I have completed a new batch of Stamporama enhancements and have moved them onto the server for your use, or not, depending on whether they are useful to you.
1. The Image Upload function that is accessed from the Members Area now has the following improvements:
a. The Image List screen now only displays 30 images at a time. For sellers who over time have listed a lot of auction lots that uploaded the images files to the Stamporama server, this screen had become unusable because it was trying to display the thumbnail for every images that they had ever listed. So the screen will now let you page through the images 30 at a time, in the same way that the auction lists work.
b. The image upload function can now upload up to 20 image files at one time. You just select the files that you want to upload and the program will pull them up to the server. Just to reiterate, the program can only upload 20 images at a time.
2. An Auction Lot Bulk Upload Utility has been added to the Auction, because different people like to work in different ways. After you log on to the system you will find it towards the bottom of the Sellers menu dropdown on the Auction page. All instructions for use are on the first page.
3. The Activate On Hold function now gives you the ability to change the number of days that the auction lots will be active in the auction, as you activate them. On the On Hold Activation Confirmation screen, you will now see a drop down that lets you choose between leaving the number of days in the auction as you set them when you loaded them into the system, or it lets you change all the On Hold lots to between 1 and 14 days as you activate them all.
Please let me know if you have any questions or problems will using these new functions.
Regards ... Tim.
