Hi there. I was wondering. Does it make any difference if a stamp has a red cancel versus a black cancel. It seems the US Postal Service clerks seem to favor red. Thanks and best wishes, Lionel Weisman

re: Red cancel or black cancel

most do use red, and I think they are required to, although some will give black on request. My own post office has a canceller whose output is both colors. Am I the luckiest guy, or what?
