I believe they can read the discussion board but not write to it. You have to put in a username/password when posting.

Bob P. is correct. I think it's the way to go. I almost always ignore any web site that forces me to register before I can see what it's about. Collectors who aren't members but manage to find Stamporama -- a small miracle of web and search-engine design when you consider how many web sites there are -- may well find our discussions interesting enough that they'll go the extra mile and join.

I finally remembered to ask this question: Is the Discussion Board accessible by people who are not members? I've noticed that I am able to access it without using my password when I haven't signed in.
