Tom,
i haven't started sorting through my forever stamps yet.
Is it that each of the three printers each did all three types (booklet, vending booklet, ATM) for 2007 making the 9 varieties of which you spoke?
And each of the three printers made the booklet and vending booklet variety for 2008? Is there no ATM variety for 2008?
Does someone have catalogue numbers and identifying characteristics (including printer) for each of these? If so, I'd be grateful when I finally get around to it.
David
David,
there are 3 double sided booklets,1 ATM,and 1 vending booklet for 2007.
and three double sided booklets , 1 vending booklet for 2008. total of 9 , so far.
Dont have all the scott numbers but--
2007
4125- ds-AV- large micro
4126- ds-AP- small micro
4127- ds-SSP- medium micro
4127b- vb-SSP-medium micro
4128- ATM-AV- large micro
2008
4125b,4126b,4127 ?. 4127 ?-- not sure of the minor letter for SSP ds,or vb
These numbers are for single stamps, the full booklets 2007 have an "a" , and 2008 have an "b", and 2007 -4127b full vending booklet is 4127bc
So it does get a bit complicated with the minor variety statis with a small letter, when the variety is reproduced with another year date, and a,b,c,d,e,f,g, etc. have to be added.Dont know why they just dont give them a whole ,major number.
I suspect Scotts will later change the system to ,, say,,,, 4125, 4125A, and if a 2009 year date,4125B,,,and use the lower caser letters for full panes, partial panes, etc.
Anyways, 2008 issues are same as 2007,with the exception of the ATM pane,,,so far.
I did notice the lack of scott numbers in the PNC3 data file.At least for this issue.

A new wrinkle for me in the identification of stamps, specially flags, is something the album refers to as USPS micro. The Liberty Forever and the other 41c stamps have 'small, medium, or large micro, and micro to the left of the flag or micro to the right of the flag. What's micro, where do I find it, and what does it look like?
