



That must be an error resulting from a damaged printing plate. No English font I have ever seen has the vertical component of the “L” shorter than the horizontal component. I haven’t everything, but I can’t imagine a scenario where a typesetter would select a different font for a letter within a word. Besides which, the other stamp looks “normal” in comparison to the “broken L” stamp.
