It is an official stamp, either Scott O 13 or O 14.
Edit. Not sure why yours would be imperf, maybe a cut out from some official stationery.

It is not an official stamp. Note that o13 and o14 have a shield between two gryphons whereas this stamp has a staff between the two gryphons. Close... but no cigar.

Well so it is, guess my enthusiasm for answering got in the way of my brain, and eyes.
Reckon this could be some sort of revenue or postal cut out, that is not in Scott, maybe someone with the appropriate catalogue could give us an answer.

Reverse image search on Google does not come up with anything identical.

My 2 cents (maybe only 1?) all the stamps I've seen have very crisp and complete BAYERN lettering. These look like copies of copies of copies - if you've ever done that. Perhaps a fake?

I collect Bavarian stamps a lot, and hope I am right. (I need this one in my set if it is real!)
Maybe this is postal stationary, though I'm leaning towards fake!
Not in scott, but maybe Yvert/Tellier? (I do not have this catalog, but at least two members here do!)

I have not been able to find this Bavarian stamp online or my Michel catalog. Anyone have an idea?
