Can you add an arrow(s) pointing to the double impression stamp?
right stamp is the double - you can see 2 top-of-head curves and 2 bottom-of-bust lines. Thanks!
I thinks that most errors go undocumented. I have several errors that I have found myself over the years, including a very obvious color omission in a U.S. non-machinable butterfly stamp from 2014. I guess that the value might be according to the type of error, in your case double embossing. My case a color omission. It probably doubles the cv to those interested in errors.
I specialise in errors in my store, and this would be an excellent addition. A clear and obvious double embossing, nice find!
So now it appears that only the bust is double embossing, the rest of the stamp is not doubled! So this cannot be a double impression, as a double impression is the who stamp!
Would you call this just an EFO?
Where does it state that 'double impression' must include the whole stamp? If a stamp is printed through several processes (more than one color, or as in this case embossing after color), then the term 'double impression' could be applied to any of those individual processes, right?
I don't know,!
Hello all, today we're looking at Italy. I have a Scott #21 that is a double impression. There is no mention of it in Scott. Scott has #22 with dbl listed as 22b. What is known about this - number in Michel or SG? common? rare? value? Thanks! Leif
