If I understand Michel correctly, they claim that the $ 1.- stamp Michel 118 was surcharged on the
issue from June 1945,Michel 99.
That issue of 7 values (Mi.nos,98-100) were reprinted Peking types, meaning without the secret mark !
So Michel 118 shows no secret mark.
Thank you! Do you know an equivalent Scott number?
It is indeed Scott no.2N127.
thanks, Werner, but 2N127 says it is on 2N108. 2N108 says it is on New Peking martyr. Don't all New Peking martyrs have secret marks?
The Hong Kong prints are with the secret mark, not the Peking prints.
Thanks Werner, finally have the puzzle figured out!
Hello China gurus, my eyeballs are swimming...
Clarification: are "new Peking" martyrs all with secret marks?
I have a few that appear to be Scott 2N127 perf 14, unwatermarked, but NO secret marks.
What am I missing? Thanks!
