Hi, I sure would appreciate some response here. Anyone out there ever do business with them, good results or bad?
Many thanks.
Hi Craig,
I have never used them. Seems like they have been around for a long time. They are members of the American Stamp Dealers Association (ASDA) which seems to be the Gold Standard. I would be inclined to bid with confidence.

What I normally would do is look at the results of their last couple of auctions and that should give you a good guide.
Nothing is certain at an auction. You need at least two buyers who want what you are offering. Ideally these buyers have to be collectors not dealers as collectors will pay more than a dealer as dealers want to make a profit.
Also what percentage of the hammer price are the auctioneers taking from you plus what hidden costs are there. I know one auction house that takes 30% but adds on a percentage of their advertising costs which takes it up to 35-40% and charges a lotting fee of 5%!!
One other thing to take into consideration is how long before the auction do you hand over the item for sale and even more critical is how long after the auction do you have to wait to get paid!
Welcome to the minefield.
Ahh... he's looking to sell. I missed that.. that's a whole other deal for sure.
They are now defunct but Regency Superior was very prominent and did several auctions a year of stamps, space memorabilia and sports memorabilia.
In 2016, I ended up consigning for auction 5-6 sports items for a family member. They each were expected to fetch somewhere in the $1,000 range. After the auction they kept dragging their feet for payment and then I got a couple of cryptic emails about the auction house closing and then it was even reported by the APS.
I started the ethics complaint process through the American Philatelic Society and finally ended up getting paid about 6 months after the auction.
Rasdale Stamps says they have been a family business since 1932.
As you've already consigned for the November auction, should we assume that you did a level of due diligence beforehand?
Ive not yet consigned on this lot yet, they asked me to mail in my collection to be followed by an appraisal, my Victpria stuff has a few issues, getting it mailed this week.
Anyone else ever sell using this auction firm? Any suggestions, I am selling a large Great Britain collection in their November sale.
