Looks like a stray mark from the cancel.

If it shows up on the back, it is likely a paper inclusion.
Otherwise, I believe it is a stray (careless) pencil mark.
On a stamp that is all one color, there is no reason that any printing variety would show up in any different color.
Nice scan, BTW.

There appears to be another small mark.
I can't tell if it's pencil (could be)
Or if it is a cancel ink smuge (most likely)
See arrows
Or it could be from your scanner glass?
I doubt that is anything meaningful. Also, it's not been used. No cancel. Full gum.
It's gotta be an accidental mark from, I guess, likely pencil over the years.
No big deal, just a small mistake!
This is actually Newfoundland 262, not Canada 262!
But Newfoundland is part of Canada. I mean c'mon.....it's the same continent too.

Unitrade shows a variant of this stamp..."rock on the ice". However this does not look like the example presented. Any idea what it might be?
