Insist on returning it. "UN clean back" does not equal NO GUM.
The seller should mention "Unused (UN)", " or "Unused - No Gum". I Agree with Jack, you have reason enough to return it.
Irrespective of the UN "abbreviation," no stamp can be described as "mint" if it was issued with gum and no longer has it.
Bought a Canadian Admiral on Ebay. Described as Mint UN clean back. Received it and it found it had no gum. Contacted the buyer and he said this was disclosed in his "explanation of breviations". UN meant No Gum. Yesterday was no fun (see my post under "Sellers".
