Straddel margin copy.
Where do you see "horizontal imperforates"?

"Straddel margin copy."
There is another pane to the left, your stamp shows where the two panes were cut apart.
A reverse scan might be helpful in this case maybe!

There really was nothing on the back, I had a very careful look!
Interesting stuff really, the postal clerk must have been either drunk, sick or both when he/she separated the panes!!!
Glad you took my advice and always look on the reverse on the flat press printed stamps!!!

I always look at the back of the stamps, but mostly for damage. Sometimes there is interesting stuff there and if there was I would show it. Sometimes even writing on the back (hopefully in pencil) gives useful information. I never assume it's true but I always consider it. It good for finding interesting offsets as well.
I just got this in today's mail from a seller here. It's #65 with something odd happening in the left margin. I can find no information in Scott's US specialized about there being some kind of "scroll work" on the sheet and nothing about horizontal imperforates. I just bought another from the same seller so it probably isn't something real rare. Can anyone tell me what's happening here? And there is nothing on the back of the stamp that would help! My guess is that the sheet has decoration in the margins - just a guess!!
