I may have posted these pictures a long time ago - I just don't remember whether or not I posted them. I used to own this sheet. Sold 15 or 20 years ago
Really great to see a whole sheet with the map! I wonder if anyone ever tried to complete the map one stamp at a time. What a job that would be!!!!
Wow!
That is nice.

Assembling a map from individual stamps would be a jigsaw puzzle of mammoth proportions. There wasn't just one map, but many, and there are 228 stamps per sheet. Nearly countless permutations.
There are single-color and bi-color maps, and supposedly the bi-color maps should be worth more.
If anyone has different information, feel free to pipe up.
Slightly less of a challenge is presented by the stamps printed a year later on the back of bank notes - but they used several different banknotes, so still a great jigsaw.
I have seen a complete sheet of separate map stamps once, years ago. I didn't buy it.
That sounds like quite the project?
Banknotes? That is also something I'd love.

Does anyone have any of Latvia's first stamps?
I collect maps on stamps, and the very first Latvian stamps were printed on the backs of WWI German Military maps, due to paper shortages!
Thank You!
