I've been checking out pictures on line plus a couple copies of the inverted yellow I supposedly have and IMHO the inverted yellow is ... the stamp on the left. I'm not sure what the one on the right is unless it is the yellow shifted drastically to the right. What do the rest of you think?
Thanks for the comment Harvey, this is where I get confused, I've looked online but not found a definitive answer and the catalogue does not show an actual image of the invert.
Hopefully someone has a copy and can show us the correct invert.
I have a couple copies, supposedly, and they look like the one on the left - sorry I can't do a scan! But you're right, the Scott's US specialized doesn't show a picture! Let's see if the others here can help out!
Just realised that I have this post under Canada when it should be under USA.
Can a moderator move it for me please.
I think it is normal - if you find a picture of the full panes, you can see the yellow does not perfectly line up, see picture in the ebay auction below:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/142452769247
On the left pane, you can see the yellow going into the selvage on the right, so your stamp would be the equivalent of the one of the stamps from the left side of the right pane. Hopefully the picture shows better than I can explain.

Thanks for the image D1, here is mine and yours together, they both have the yellow shifted upwards, but yours has les white on the left. The pane shown on the Ebay link above looks, as Joshtanki says, like my stamp which would make it the error. Or am I seeing this wrong?
The following footnote appears in the Scott US Specialized catalogue, following the listing for #1203 (the basic original stamp) and #1204 (the special printing after the original inverts were discovered on cover (#1203a)):
"The inverted yellow impression is shifted to the right in relation to the black and brown impression. Stamps of first vertical row of UL and LL panes show no yellow at left side for a space of 11-11 1/2 mm in from the perforations. Stamps of first vertical row of UR and LR panes show vertical no-yellow strip 9 3/4 mm wide, covering UN Building. On all others, the vertical no-yellow strip is 3 1/2 mm wide, and touches UN building."
This information might help in sorting copies of this issue.

Thank you James, the one on the right and enlarged above measures 11-12mm from the perfs, so will assume it is the invert and put it in the appropriate box on the page.
I have a file of articles that were in Linns. Send me an email and I'll send it to you. Put stamporama in subject line.
Thanks John, email sent.
Can anyone confirm that the stamp on the right below is the inverted yellow reprint please, it appears to go into the blue at the top.
The stamp on the left just appears to be an horizontally misplaced yellow.
Here is a closer image.
