Hi Cheryl, not found anything that suggests other than shade differences (Brixton Chrome Blog spot), but this site gives a good history of the creation of the stamp.

Have any members seen the 1952 Canada Red Cross stamp
with a red dot on the stamp or salvage ?
I would love to see an image of this variety or oddity

My question is this. Were there any errors on the Canadian 1952 Red Cross stamp other than the colour shift which affected the placing of the cross?
