The only newer US I look for are definitives and it has been quite a while since any have been on offer here. My official US cut off is 1977 but I do like some of the definitive series, I think the series with the large bald eagle stamps is one of the more attractive series the USPS has ever released!
Might get a better response if you gave a list of Scott numbers, year/ series that you are needing.
For this part of my collection I don't even use and record numbers, the same with the Disney/media stuff I look for - I know it when I see it!! This is very different from the way I collect classic material, but it's just the way I decided to do it!
EDIT: With the newer US definitives the main reason I don't record numbers is because I would prefer to not get caught up in minor differences due to tagging and any other varieties. I am afraid that the collection will get out of hand if I start recording Scott numbers. This is only a fun collection for me!
I will gladly post some book(s) with U.S. definitives, but I am not sure I can do it before the holidays. The stamps will all be mint, never-hinged and identified with captions and Scott numbers. I will probably start with the Liberty Series and include sheet, coil and booklet stamps if I have them.
Regards,
Fred
Thanks Fred!!
I’m trying to fill in some annoying holes in my collection specifically between 1970 to 1998. I occasionally see some posted in approvals but I seem to be a little slow. Can you all put more definitives in the approvals or auctions?
