It's called a jump strip and it is mentioned in Unitrade in the beginning part under coils. They seem to occur only in coils and thanks to a seller here I have several. You see line pairs with imperforate stamps so maybe jump strips occur there as well, I don't really know for sure since I have no examples. I have many US coil line pairs as well but don't remember seeing any jump strips. The jump occurs to the right of the line in a line pair. I don't think Unitrade gives them a special number. I would normally pay about double what I would pay for a regular line pair. I hope this helps and, by the way, I have this one and several from this series of coils! Good find!!
EDIT: Paste up coil pairs/strips are also fun to collect. IMHO items like this, even though not usually expensive, make a collection more interesting. One of my favourite items is a paste up strip of 4 of two different Canada war tax coils, MR7 and MR7a which is called MR7v in Unitrade. The two different colour shades of brown in the same strip make for a very interesting item!
Joe...I should have known you'd have the answer. Thanks. Seems I knew this, but the brain bank must have been full when first at that time.
While it seems odd, I don't see any reference to such an occurrence in Unitrade. Any Canada experts have any thoughts on this?
