Image Not FoundHow do you tell the difference between Dep of Int. and Treasury 1873 issue and 1879 issue. Is it just the soft or hard paper? Lesson don't put stamps back to sort later. Later comes and you don't remember. LOL

Yep hard vs soft porous paper. Various sites describe the process (back lighting), for example,
