Tina and I went; we saw two SORers: Phil and Jopie (they're also StampTrotters, my local brick & mortar club).
We spent all Saturday at two tables: 45 min for one and 7 hours at another. The latter was nothing but dollar boxes. A couple of choice buys plus some good tied seals.
I'll try to scan a couple of them
I went on opening day. Phil, Jopie and one other club member traveled along.
This was the first show of this size that I have attended and I was not really as prepared as I should have been.
I did fill in some blanks in my Danzig and Newfoundland collections.
Spent some time speaking to the folks at the German Philitelic and the U.S. Classics booths.
I really enjoyed the exhibited frames and panels. Some very impressive collections.
Our club, Stamptrotters, had 8 members attend on day 1 and AMSD and others attended throughout the show.
Looking forward to Boston in '26.
Tim, i spent my time with a dealer from Pennsylvania who sold covers and stamps by the piece. He had so many albums to go through and take what you want at 10 cents and 25 cents apiece. He told me he never takes any stamps of of the albums and from what i saw it was true ..i was buying 3 and 4 dollar stamps for 25 cents . It was our third Hartford GASS show a convenient 2 hour ride from our house.
When we were in Hartford at the APS show and we were on our way out we were stopped by the gentleman who was taking care of the visitors in the lobby. He told us that we really should see the exhibit about WWII in the Netherlands. Well, that got my attention and we went to see it. There were a few people - who spoke Dutch and we saw the exhibit. Beautiful! Then a gentlemen came over and said that he was Kees Adema, the author of the exhibit! I had seen his exhibit about the 1953 Flood in the Netherlands, so I was very happy to meet this gentlemen. The exhibit about the flood was written in the APS magazine (some years ago) and I'll scan the first page. That was quite a day!

Who went to the Great American Stamp Show recently and what did you buy? I'd love to see some pics.
re: GASS Hartford, CT - Who went and what was your new Aquisitions?
