It's listed in SG. It's supposed to be on red, pale pink or rose paper, which we can't see because of the red background it's imaged on. It appears genuine
Indeed !
1861-1867
Half the coat of arms of Lubeck and Hamburg combined into one coat of arms.
It is number 4 in the Michel catalog.
And what Dave said it's dark ultramarine on matte pink paper.
Turn the stamp over and you can see the colored paper. ( if it's real! )
The real stamps no. 1-5 each have 55 evenly spaced rings around the coat of arms.
Catalog value 10 euro's
But a question has the stamp a hole around the middle?
If so, than it has no value at all
Hello!
In the Classic Specialized Scott 2024, the stamp is the number 4, Blue-pink, in basis of the one mention in the catalogue, your stamp is a reprint, it has a thin vertical line on the second branch of the second letter "E" of BERGEDORF and the top of the eagle's head (and below) has no shading, the shading should be even on top.
Regards,
Rodolfo
But I cannot find 3 Shilling VERSION OF THIS STAMP?
I looked in Scott's and could not find a listing for a 3 Schilling?
