A lot of what you see on E-Bay are counterfeits. That is another story entirely. Your mint sheets are always worth face value for postage. To sell them right away, you would have to discount them a little. The most interesting full sheets could be sold to collectors here and the souvenir sheets would bring a little over face value. Good luck!
Counterfeit postage is on ebay but then dealers will not pay face for stamps either except for certain ones. It has been this way for many many years.
That's true. He will have to discount the full sheets a little and sell to friends, family or straight to collectors. The sheets of 20 with 20 different should be separated and sold at face value or a little more to collectors here. I would buy them, take the one or two that I need and use the rest for postage. It's just that a dealer can't pay a lot for them.
Thank you for your responses gentlemen, much appreciated. I have been a member here for a few years, just not terribly active. I will have to ponder selling here or to a dealer. I have 0 interest in selling on Fee Bay.
I never knew that the counterfeit market was so huge for stamps and that was what is being sold on ebay. I am amazed that since this is common knowledge, they allow it to go on.
Keep in mind that if you don’t want to sell in the auction or approval books here, Stamporama also has a section called “Stamps for Sale” which is like a classified ad. There are rules but is said to be a lot less work than putting together auctions and approval books if you only have a few things to sell. It is located under Sales, Swaps, Auctions, and Approvals…
Outstanding, I had forgotten about that third option. Thanks for the tips!

I know I am simple.... I am not finding the sales section you referred to in your previous post.
On my iPhone screen, it is located near the bottom. There are blue headings to the different sections and it is in the last section.
Not sure if it looks different for others
It’s under the main discussion board heading, not in the US section
If you click on the Topics heading, scroll to bottom, it is 7 up.
Here are the steps, from the homepage;
Home - go to dropdown menu,
Click on Discussion topics -
Scroll down to the heading titled
'Sales, Swaps, Auction and Approvals' and find the thread titled 'Stamps For Sale' -
Click on this, then click the button titled 'Start New Thread' then post what you want to sell.
NOTE:
You must be signed in for the "Start New Thread" button to appear!
Thanks everyone, I was looking in the main menu. That explains everything.
I am sorry if this is a lazy person's question, I don't have access to a fairly current Scott catalog. I inherited my father's stamp collection 3 years ago. I am not particularly interested in collecting mint US stamps. He was buying full sheets from the USPS, and he appeared to be putting them aside for many years. He was starting to separate some singles and put them in mounts. So, I have a larger amount of mint sheets from 2006-2018. I have seen people on ebay selling mint stamps for under face value and was wondering if anything in this period had any value? If not, I have enough postage to probably last the rest of my life.
Thanks for any input!
