Hi Mike,
It's not easy without a picture but I guess you're referring to the two stamps issued by the Scout Post?
They're often regarded as forerunners for the official Czechoslovak issues.
I see they're listed in my very old Michel catalogue as semi-official stamps, with a heraldic lion design, 10 heller blue (two shades: "blau" and "hellblau") and 20 heller red. There were 30,000 sets issued.
Thank you Nigel,
Yes, that sounds like what I was inquiring about. It is very trying to find so many different stamps, especially from so many different sources. I do have the "hallblua" and it is in very good shape, mint hinged and must have had it hidden away for years since I didn't even recognize it when I found it the other day.
Thank you again Nigel,
Mike
If it is the following:
Then it is listed in the Scott's Classic Specialized Catalogue under "Local Official Stamps"; numbers OL1 & OL2.
Hope this helps.
SG also lists them in their main listings as SG 1 & 2.
I have been searching for a catalog that would show the two stamps listed as 1 & 2, they are the first stamps in the Stampworld catalog that appear when you open the Czechoslovakia section. They also show the O/P set, but not much info I can use. By some coincidence neither set show up in the amazing Scott's and Colnect catalog.
Any help would be appreciated!
Mike
