I just bought a Queen Victoria post card from Dennis because it was sent from a town that doesn't exist by that name anymore. The town of Berlin in Ontario was changed to Kitchener in 1916 because of anti German feelings during WWI. Why did I buy the card? Another thing I collect are clocks from The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Company which was formed in Berlin Ontario in 1904 when the owner decided to change over from bicycle manufacture. The earlier clocks with the name of Berlin on the dial are much more desirable than the later ones marked Kitchener. I have 10 of the clocks but only one is marked Berlin. They are wonderful clocks and most are named after a Canadian town or city. It's a very interesting Canadian company that closed in 1965 after the death of the founder. A link is given if anyone wants a bit more information. I'll show an image of one of the clocks I have. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Arthur ...
