Not sure where you are getting the numbers from but they are MH70 in my Scott 2014.
They are a sheet stamp rather than from a booklet.
The zero of the value has the thin part offset top left, bottom right.

OK, have never used stamp manage so was unaware of numbering system. I use SG, Scott or Deegam. There a quite a lot of varieties of this 10p stamp, without going into various head types.
The images below may help you identify that which you have. As far as I can see from SG Concise there was only ever a 15 x 14 perf although I'm sure there are probably minor variations.
First image shows some mint examples in a simplified fashion. Type "C" comes only from the Christian Heritage Booklet.

Second and third show a more detailed breakdown of the range for this 10p stamp. You will need to check the phosphor bands (tags) to ascertain which you have.

Finally here is an extract from the SG Concise catalogue for the 10p issue. Giving dates of issue.

WOW!!! Thanks for the great detailed response. I don't know how to check the Phosphor bands. Actually, I don't even know what that is.

Stamp Manage uses the Scott numbering system, at least that's what they advertise.

I'm going to put these stamps up for action saying they could be SC764 - 634 - or MH70 - let the buyer beware. :-)

You can usually see the phosphor bands as dull areas when you angle the stamps to the light. They will appear in various vertical positions, left side, centre, right side or all over. To see the colour of the fluorescence (it can be yellow, blue, green) you will need a UV light. A sufficient one retails on the net around $30.

re: How can you tell if this is GB 764 or GB 634

i don't know Stamp Manage, but it is possible that the Scott numbers there pre-date the change in Scott when it added the MH prefix to the Machin Head definitives, to keep them all together.

Note Vic's response includes MH in the Scott number; yours don't.

That change might be what's causing you and Vic to quote different numbers. Vic's would be the correct numbers to use today.

Thanks David, wondered what the reason was, when did they change to the MH format, my Scott is a 2014, so presumably before then.

This article would appear to infer that it was before 1999. Which makes me wonder just how up to date Stamp Manage is with the numbering.

Edit, this would appear to infer that it was with the 2000 catalogue.

As noted, Stamp Manage uses Scott Numbers. StampManage has an "Another num" field for alternate catalog numbers and someone has tried to map SG Concise to Scott No. (see image) SG Specialized uses a different numbering system.

In most cases, there will be multiple SG numbers for any Scott because Scott does not list phosphor varieties. Now, Scott lists EME types and thick/thin values that SG Concise does not.

I use Scott for my collecting except for Machins.

StampManage screen shot. I use a spreadsheet to track Machins.

Thanks for the replies, everyone.

StampManage does show Scotts MH numbers - which always confuses me because many stamps have what I would call a regular number, and also a MH number - how can you tell the difference between them = perhaps that a a conversation for another time.

Also StampManage puts out an updated version every year to keep up with new stamps.
