I collect a commercial cover with postage stamps from every country/territory/condominium/etc. in the Scott postage stamp catalog, with a few exceptions (the exceptions being additional stamp issuing authorities that Scott does not recognize).
My cover from Umn Al Qiwain.
Smauggie:
Do you need a cover from Costa Rica?
David
It is very kind of you to think of me, David. Yes, I have one. I would eventually like to get a nice 19th century cover at some point.
Now that I look at it I wonder what GHB Airmail is that is in a repeating pattern on the envelope.
Smauggie:
Will check my trading stock and report back.
G.H.B. is some brand of paper / envelope / stationery company, I assume. The repeating pattern is to make the airmail envelope a security envelope, so you cannot see the contents.
David
I would start with collecting at least 1 stamp from every sovereign state, currently 205.
Then, you expand to current dependent territories, etc.

Does anyone collect stamps from each stamp issuing entity!
There are over 100,000 such entities.
There are 2 major groupings:
1) COMMUNICATION Stamps (Postage, Telegraph, Telephone, Parcels & Newspaper)
2) REVENUE (Tax, Certification, Permits)
3) ADVERTISING (Seals, Propaganda)
How do you look at breaking it up?
