I was working on my Philippine collection and 807-8 caught my eye. The waterfalls are a "muddy brown". I am unable to find a similar stamp on the internet and it isn't shown in the Scoot catalog. It doesn't appear that someone would have "colored" the falls by hand but you never know. Has anyone ever seen this before?

I guess my first question is, is the brown on both sides of the stamp? If so it is staining from whatever it was that was used to stick the stamps to an album page.

smauggie...
Good call. I did lift the stamps and there is bleed-through on the adhesive side. There is no sign that the adhesive side is disturbed... just a stain. Can't really say if it is the result of an adhesive or what... It just looks weird on the front. I guess I'll keep them as they make an interesting example of some sort.

Scotch tape or a bad substitute for a hinge. See it in old juvenile worldwide albums all the time.
