This era and type of registered marking interests me. It seems there was a period in the late 19th and early 20th century when post offices had their own registered markings manufactured with the town name included. I have a small accumulation of these.

One of my cover interests is early U.S. Registered covers...i was happy to pick this one up to Delaware County which is almost local for me for 3 bucks !
