I can't find these two?

Top two cahracters seem to say North China

Look like they should be in the 8N... numbers in scott but I cannot find them with the bottom overprint

Maybe 8n79 and 8n77 as the images seem a little different but whaat is the bottom overprint?

Any help would be appreciated

Bob

re: China Overprints - help

By no means an expert, but I would say 8N32 / 8N34 or 8N48 / 8N50.
I believe the bottom overprint is an indication of the new value.

re: China Overprints - help

thanks, i think you are right 8n48 and 50 - i thought the overprint was too long but the illustration on shanghai reading doun looks similar.

also the stamps have minor differences so that would be consistant with the "New Peking" printing
