At this level of magnification I don't see any colored dots in the stars.
Like I said on my posting, colored dots, red and blue apply to booklet stamps except for numbers 4645-4648, nowhere in the cat. mention this single colored dot on coil stamps, There are several printers and the quality of these stamps printwise goes from horrible to about good. I'll save the stamps so I have them both with single color dots and red and blue dots.
My coils have no blue dots like the booklet stamps. Good find! I’ll keep looking myself.
The coil stamps do have both blue and red dots, you may need more magnification since they are very faint. I use a 20X magnifying glass and can see the dots with great detail.
StampCollector,
Your coil with both blue and red dots is probably a counterfeit. Here is a scan from Scott's Specialized Catalogue of United States Counterfeits 2023, page15
I totally forgot about the China counterfeits that are all over the internet.
I did notice that on some stamps the microprinting is really a blurb, this may be a case of counterfeit stamps. Back to the drawing board.
I had a look at my 2019 flag issues and found what I believe are 2 China fakes. The USPS micro printing is illegible at any magnification and the overall printing is clearly inferior. I think that this is a serious problem.
2012 US Flag stamps
Coils:
Printer - Avery, Die cut 8 1/2 (8.4), came in V/P and P/V, Red & Blue dots in flag, # 4629 - 4632
Printer - Ashton Potter, Die cut 9 1/2 (9.4), came in overall tag and solid tag, Red & Blue dots in flag, # 4633 - 4636 (overall tag), 4633a - 4636a (Solid tag)
Printer - Sennet Security Products, Die cut 11, Only Blue dots in flag, # 4637 - 4640
You can tell the Coil stamps by their die cut.
So your coil stamps that are perf 11 and only blue dots would be the Sennet versions #4637 - 4640
Also note that on the booklet stamps, the only printer to use only Blue dots was Sennet. And likewise on their coil stamps they used only Blue dots.
Hope this helps.
P.S. There is a Four Flags booklet sorting chart based on the stamps straight edges that was on one of the stamp forums years ago.
Let me know if you want that.

Trying to organize my US collection and I need help to ID some stamps. According to Scott US specialized cat.
2017 ed. the only stamps with blue dots in the stars are the ones coming from booklets (4645-4848). There's no
mention of such in coil stamps yet I found some with only the blue dots, is there a variety that I'm not aware of? These are a couple of the stamps in question.
BTW I only found these on the perf. 11 coils.
