Hi Kent(Kool),
I use a program that will modify a PDF file. One of the others will be able to tell you what they use on a Windows computer, but as I use Linux on all my computers, I use LibreOffice Draw, which does a wonderful job of letting me modify the Steiner pages. I usually change something on every Steiner page that I use, even if it is only the positioning of the page.
Bottom line is, what you are trying to do is doable.

Kent,
In addition to removing the borders, you will need to modify the margins so that the content is centered within the Specialty borders. I use a couple of tools to accomplish this. Pdftk can be used to cover up the Steiner borders with white space and pdfcropmargins can be used to change the margins. Both of these tools can be run via batch files to process multiple pdf files. If you send me a list of the Steiner files you want to convert, I can run them through my script for you. I have access to all of Bill Steiner's PDF files.

Congrats on the printer. I would get one if I was interested in larger than Letter (8½×11) paper.
I second the LibreOffice Draw method. You can delete borders or change page size without affecting the rest of the page. I use it all the time to modify Steiner PDF pages (re-arrange, add or remove spaces, split of blocks to singles). This only works when the PDF is NOT just an encapsulated image.
If you want to more closely match the Scott Specialty pages, you could also change Helvetica to Palatino-Linotype.
This is a close match to the font used by Scott.
Thank you all for you advice; it was very helpful. A savvy neighbor across the street changed all the Steiner pages to have no border. So now when I print any of those pages they will show up on the Scott pages with only the Scott border showing. I've printed 75 pages today!!! And the black ink is reduced quite a bit. Hope I can purchase just a black in cartridge somehow. Thanks again
Kent,
Unfortunately, the pages are not centered. You will need to modify the margins so that the content is centered within the Specialty borders. (see my message from Nov 26 in this thread)

This is how a centered page appears
Some months ago I asked you all for recommendations on a printer that could print Steiner pages on Scott specialized pages. I now have installed a Canon -Pixel-200 and ready to print. But how do I get rid of the Steiner border so that it doesn't show up inside the Scott pages border. Is there an easy way to eliminate the Steiner border? Anxious to hear how to do it.
