Geez Joe. Please tell me it wasn't me you bought that from!
Dave.
Honestly Dave I don't remember for sure, but I don't think so.
I got it for a fair price, didn't underpay and didn't over pay. The seller knew what he had and asked a very fair price for it. That's really all I remember for sure. I think I know who I got it from and I really shouldn't speculate! This will probably make me sound like a fool but if someone here were offering it at the price of a normal plate block I would let them know it was special - I hope!! For the most part we are friends here and hopefully would not take advantage of, or cheat, another member!
I noticed someone had a copy of one of these stamps at auction and thought I should pass something on. I didn't know this until I bought the item from an SOR member but the inscription block for these two stamps is rare and lists for $250 CD in Unitrade, the blank corner blocks are most common and have a CV of $5. It's a bit past my 1988 cut off but I still picked it up because I thought it was "kind of cool". I guess the printer was on the fritz and very few inscription blocks were produced. Unitrade says there were less than 50 full panes produced with inscriptions and a full pane goes for (CV) $1200. Note: Unitrade is in Canadian dollars. I just mention this in case someone has one and thinks it is just a normal item! Besides, we are supposed to be educating!!
