Bills of Lading (BOL), I've added PUPs arrows.
4 horses being shipped, and horse attendant got to travel for free (I assume with the horses).
Interesting right and proper example used during the 1898 series revenue period.

What an interesting bit of history. 1898, why not start an Historical Thread? I do know that Ian was exploring a separate site for non-phillatelic listing which got sidelined due to his heart issues for now- perhaps do something similar on SOR but philatelically tied?

@1898 Fascinating document, thanks for posting. That is a huge amount of money for that time period. I would think that's not far off what a person would pay to buy two horses then!!
