Love the name......"Mutilator"......leaves no doubt about what its for!
And that’s how postal employees have been trained. I’ve had small packages I handed over the counter for hand cancellation, telling the clerk that the recipient was a stamp collector.
Bam, bam, bam, bam bam! Not a stamp left collectible and not a readable cancel!
This is revenue stamps not postage stamps!

Hey Tom,
I used to have to deal with clerks like that and the delivery person and their "markers." Since moving to Bellefonte I don't have that problem anymore. The clerks know me and usually ask if my mail and packages are going to a collector so they can put on cancels. I use alot of discount postage so that usually tips them off. I also have the option of having The APS handle my mail where it is treated kindly because the know it is usually Philatelic.

What is the subject of your posting? You just throw something out there with no explanation or question, and then you expect folks to know what you're talking about? What is it that you want to discuss? Geez... lighten up!
