Mel,
Thank you for doing the leg work and getting the approval. I remember these well and always enjoyed them. The messages were always interesting to me as a young collector. It would be nice to have a spot on SOR to collect/display these.
These are great! More, please! How many do you have. Or, perhaps the question should be, are they available elsewhere on line?
Bob
Check on ebay as I found a copy of Book 1 there several years ago....
Smauggie and MBO- I think you guys ought to put your heads together to see how best to do that (posting in SOR). Certainly interesting stuff, and an eye opener to newbies. Perhaps Smauggie might run it past the MT, or come up with suggestions reflecting your (MBO & his) ideas. Just saying!!

First Bob, I have 63 Stamp Oddities, 11 Oddities on Stamps and 120 Stamp Stories. All on a CD. The CD was prepared by an SOR member some years back from my collection and I cannot remember who. He did a great job and everything you see here is a result of his hard work. There are 2 books that I am aware of. Tales of Postage Stamps and Stamp Stories. Both of these are in the National Library of Australia and may or may not be in any library else where. I also have a paper back of Monty Wedd's Stamp Oddities which I purchased off of Ebay some time back. I am not aware if they are available online any where.
Dan C. I agree. I do not want to take up space or keep moving the images around. I will get with Smauggie to see what we can come up with. I am willing to do what ever is best for SOR.
Thank everyone for your interest.

Hooray!! I have finally received permission to post Monty Wedd illustrations on Stamporama. Justin Wedd, Monty’s son, has granted permission to post his Stamp Oddities, Stamp Stories and Tales on Postage Stamps. For those of you who have been on SOR for a while, you may remember back in 2015 I started posting them when the question of copyright was raised which caused me to stop the postings. All the postings were removed from SOR. Monty Wedd was an author and comic book illustrator. His story is too long to post here, and I would suggest that you check out Wikipedia for his full story. Below is the first one just to give you an idea. Moderators, if this is the wrong place or I am over stepping, please make any corrections you deem appropriate.
All illustrations are copyright of the Wedd family and are shown here with permission.
