Hmmmm,, sounds like me..having lived 74 years in the same general area...i can't take a drive without being reminded of all the stupid things i did and survived..when i pass the houses i remember the girls that lived in them.

At least you took the blame and took it like a man and apologized unlike some who would of just brushed it off as "business."

My wife tells me I do stupid things all the time.
Just the other day I ran into the kitchen and told her, “come quick!! The toilet in the back bathroom is smoking!!!” She dropped what she was doing and ran after me down the hall and into the bathroom and saw I was right……. (see below)

Even for me. On Facebook there is a group called Canada Stamp Dealers. I go to it on occasion. Yesterday, I saw a post by a dealer offering some stamps. One commenter asked told the dealer he was looking for some of the GV Arch Issues. Having several in my store, I commented that fact, and invited him to visit my Hipstamp store. Got some pretty negative backlash from the original dealer and another about my hijacking his post. Ya know what....they were right! WTF was I thinking? Needless to say I apologized as best I could and removed my comment.
