Liz: I posted a couple months back that I dropped off an envelope to my postal outlet around noon on a TUESDAY. As usual I got them to apply a nice CDS cancel.
On the same THURSDAY I got a thank you note from Gudgie in SCOTLAND thanking me for the stamps.
Things that make you go hhhmmm.
I sent out 1500 cards advertising our model car show. Sent these in February for the show in April. Just received back a "Return to Sender" card this week!
On March 22, 2023 a letter was mailed from Jacksonville, FL USA to Salt Spring Island, BC Canada.
A Canadian AND an American stamp were used as postage on the envelope.
Did Customs hold the letter for 5 months while trying to decide whether to return the letter to the sender or be kind and forward it on to me?
The envelope is addressed correctly and other than a few oil stains and dirt smudges on the back I cannot see any reason for the delivery delay.
To the other extreme, I was advised by a member that an envelope I mailed to the east coast of the USA last week arrived three days after I mailed it
re: Mail Delivery Times go from one extreme to the other - 5 Months for a letter to arrive in BC Canada from FL USA?
