I just learnt today (thank you Purrfin2) that Lloyd de Vries of the Virtual Stamp Club is being presented with the APS Luff Award for Exceptional Contributions to Philately at the GASS show this week. I have been watching the work done by Lloyd on the Virtual Stamp Club site for at least 15 years. This award is very much deserved.

Congratulation Lloyd!!!

Thank you Tim for making this announcement. I just sort of figured if I knew everybody else knew. Lloyd is an amazing person. So deserving of this award.

Online philately has come a long way since pioneers like Lloyd de Vries created the Virtual stamp Club. A most deserving recipient! Congrats to Lloyd.

Lloyd also created stamp pod casts that were broadcast over the CBS radio network for a number of years.
