A rare very distinctive retouch in MUH condition and well centred, the majority showing a faint outline of the retouch, is paired with a regular issue and full "By the Authority" imprint.

The retouch to the roller flaw was first noted early in 1953. The roller flaw was a master plate variety and occurred on both electros. Since the roller flaw and retouches can each be found on imprint and no imprint sheets, it is apparent that the retouches were made on one electro only, probably prior to the second printing in December 1951.

The "£2" retouch can clearly be seen on the left stamp at bottom right.

@Rob1956

Just a suggestion, I've found it good to add an arrow pointing out the retouch.

Hi 1898

I normally do, but in this case it's quite obvious so it was not needed. The retouch is the faded £2 on the bottom right of the left stamp.
