Hi
That is very fast.
Seems funny as my experience for some reason mail from Canada is extra slow, mail from my relatives.

The hold up of mail from Canada to the US is US Customs.
Holding the mail is a good idea so it can be checked just to be safe. Life in the world after 911.

It really depends nowadays. When I send stuff to North America (Canada or USA doesn't really matter) it can be anything between 4 to 5 days and 74 days, the latter being the recent negative record to the USA. Most of the time mail to the USA takes two weeks at least, 3 weeks is normal.
I usually get my shipments from grampadennis in Canada in a timely manner...I'd say in 7-10 days. I guess I never really counted the days, but I know when I get the message in SOR that the invoice was sent to the time it arrives in my mailbox, it is rather timely.
Satisfactory to me where I've bought from him repeatedly.

About three weeks ago my wife had put some items in the Amazon cart and later that day, around 3PM, I submitted the order to Amazon.
The next morning when I got up (around 3:30 AM), I wandered over to the computer to check emails. As I am sitting there, I hear Alexa in the kitchen sound the notification noise. I ignored it until a minute or two later an email pops up on my computer screen from Amazon. I open it and it tells me that an order has arrived and was just left on my back porch. It has a picture of a package sitting in the dark on our table!
I live in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, and it is quite rural here. It is not someplace that you would want to be walking around someone else’s back yard in the pitch black at 3:30AM. (You could easily be mistaken for a bear never mind someone with ill intent).
I am still mystified as to why Amazon would send delivery people out at that hour, but I guess it was a very fast shipment.

I ordered a new phone recently and took advantage of Amazon's 4am to 8am delivery window since I was going out of town around lunch. It was delivered in the dark (around 5:30) on the front porch (actually two packages delivered 20 minutes apart). We are in a more rural area but an established subdivision. I was already up and between Ring and Amazon notification I knew when they were delivered.
Personally, I would not walk up to porch in the dark in a rural area for multiple reasons.
We all have stories of mail taking forever to arrive (if at all). I just got two approval book shipments from Canada that I think arrived rather quickly, both within about a week. The fastest one left Ontario on Tuesday and arrived in my mailbox in Germany today. Thought I'd mention some positive experiences.
Have nice weekend,
Chris
