I mean is there a list that says postmark 306 is from CHAD, or some other location.
I have a lot of British stamps with different numbered post marks cancellations?

In another post I'm looking for C41 which is Ecuador. Do you have any of those?

My 2008 Stanley Gibbons Commonwealth and British Empire Stamps 1840-1970 catalog has a Great Britain Post Offices Abroad list after the GB section, which I think is the list you are seeking.

If you also want Great Britain postmarks, as well as abroad then this book is your bible.
Collect British Postmarks, published by The British Postmark Society. My copy is 1993 and the ISBN is 0 900214 05 8. There is probably a revised edition available.

Very sorry , that was a mistake on my end. I really meant Great Britain stamps post marked C41 inside a barred sideways oval, as being discussed in another post, which makes them Ecuador stamps. Sorry about that!!

I have looked, and searched, and have not been able to find any reference, and I am going to bet that there is one out there that covers explains, discusses, where British stamps used in their colonies are located.
