This posting pertains to Scott 153 or SG 250.

Have been going back through colonial India issues in hope of identifying watermark varieties.

Two observations re a particular stamp. First, the arms of the watermark "star" look "droopy". Second, the paper looks and feels different.

Neither of these perceived varieties are included within either the Scott (general) or Stanley Gibbons (specialty) catalogues.

Has anyone else observed such varieties? Or is it time to put away the watermark fluid and open the windows?
