A "Fail" or "Failure" in the stock market refers to a Failure to Settle. i.e. either the funds were not available from the buyer, or the stock certificates were not delivered by the seller on time.

Thanks, I've collected the MOSs since 2009 and this is the first "Failure" I've encountered.

I've never seen this before and have no idea what the word "Failure" means and or why it was used on this MOS.
